Quarried at Mouselow quarry in Derbyshire; Hard York is a fine grained, grey/buff coloured sandstone.
Whilst Hard York is ideal for all building purposes because of its weathering capabilities it is especially suitable for city centre developments or highly trafficked areas.
Hard York has been used on many prestigious developments including:
- Tesco Store, Higham
- Dickens Yard, Ealing
- One New Bailey, Salford
- Corn Exchange, Manchester
- Guildhall, London
There are large reserves with long term planning consent.
